1780s Silk Taffeta Stays from Corsets and Crinolines

My 1780s stays worn at Costume College after taking my hair out of the hedgehog style. The stays are made of a blue green shot silk bought at the most wonderful store, Fabrics and Fabrics, in the Garment District in LA. They're lined with plain linen, linen canvas that I wish I had bought more of from Denver Fabrics and have a detatchable striped linen lining that I bought five years ago from Fabrics Store.com. They're boned with steel boning and bound with silk taffeta.

The stays are entirely hand sewn.
