A c. 1884 Bustle Bodice



The view from the inside. The seams are all hand overcast. The bottom edge is faced with ribbed silk. There are two loops, one sewn to each armscye, for hanging.




The extention on the right front shows in the picture on the right. This was a selvedge edge of both satin and lining. The buttons are attached right next to this join. On the left front, the satin is folded back over the center front to create a facing for the buttonholes.
